History
WIL Research was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1976 as a nonclinical contract research organization (CRO) specializing in mammalian toxicology. Based upon early success, during the 1980s, WIL Research relocated to its current 75 acre campus in Ashland, Ohio; began distinguishing itself in the sub-discipline of developmental and reproductive toxicology (DART); and expanded its client base internationally. During this time, the forward-thinking culture of WIL Research led to the creation of the WIL Toxicology Data Management System (WTDMS™), which was the first protocol-driven data management system in the CRO industry.
Spawning from it scientific reputation in the disciplines of general toxicology and DART, WIL Research has continued a methodic and uninterrupted increase in scope of services, and facility expansions since the 1990s. Throughout this period as it is today, the main focus of WIL Research has been to attract, train and retain the best and brightest, from bench-level scientists to senior scientific staff to ensure the highest quality science and service to clients.
Today, WIL Research is a thriving company of over 650 employees with a diverse scientific staff of experienced toxicologists, pharmacologists, research chemists, neuroscientists, pathologists and veterinarians. WIL Research’s interdisciplinary approach to toxicology, pharmacology, metabolism and bioanalytical services, with a high level of personalized service to clients, contributes to its longstanding strong reputation within the scientific community. |
